Melissa Mitchell, MBA, APR, CPRC
Executive Director
Melissa leads the Legacy Foundation’s strategic vision — guiding philanthropy, communication, and resident support initiatives that strengthen the Shell Point community. Her goal is to ensure every resident feels purposeful, valued, and at peace. With two decades of experience in leadership and strategic communication, Melissa has dedicated her career to helping organizations grow their impact and build meaningful connections. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida Southern College and an MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University. Melissa and her husband have two young children, Radlee and Lennon. She enjoys sunsets, photography, live music, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Sally Brumfield, CSA®
Development Director
Sally helps residents discover ways to live their passions and leave meaningful legacies — from commemorating loved ones to finding new ways to make an impact through giving. With a heart for connection, she enjoys learning each resident’s story and helping them find personal meaning in generosity. She brings 27 years of banking experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. Sally and her husband, Mark, have two adult children, Dani and Doug. She’s an active community volunteer supporting women’s empowerment, heart health, and mental wellness initiatives.

Tiffany Roost
Family Office Manager
Tiffany helps residents manage their personal finances, from bill pay and budgeting to long-term care policy review. She specializes in helping individuals organize important documents and prepare for the future so their loved ones can experience clarity and peace during life transitions. With 27 years of leadership experience in healthcare and district management, Tiffany also has a background in business management and accounting. A Fort Myers resident for 37 years, she has been married to her husband Mike for 31 years. They have three grown children — Steven, Mackenzie, and Tristan. Tiffany loves crafting, reading, boating, and cheering on her favorite sports teams (Roll Tide!).

Kim Scales, MBA, CSA®
Family Office Services
Kim supports residents through personalized financial management, daily money management and advisory services with care and precision. With 20+ years of experience in nonprofit operations, Kim brings expertise in accounting, payroll, and human resources. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma Christian University and an MBA from Nyack College. Kim and her husband, Michael, have been married for 20 years and have two children, Rylan and McKinley. She’s an Alabama football fan (Roll Tide!) and enjoys volunteering at church, mentoring middle school girls, and quality family time.

Shanna Clark, MBA
Family Office Services
Shanna provides administrative and operational support to the Legacy Foundation team. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. Her background includes retirement plan administration, accounting, and finance. After moving to Sanibel in 2008, she worked in various island-based roles before joining the Legacy Foundation in 2022. Now empty nesters to one son, Shanna and her husband of 23 years, John, enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures. She also holds a Florida real estate license.
